Worksman Custom Tandem Cruiser

This section is for those people who want to customize the Worksman Heavy Duty Tandem Cruiser. You can select the drive train, crank bearings, front wheel sprocket, wheels, tires, fenders, color, and accessories. These accessories can only be purchased by people who buy a new Worksman Bicycle, and some are not widely available. So you can get your new tandem cruiser rigged up in style, right here. While some manufacturers idea of a custom bike is color choice, and a tassle on the handle bars, these are customs from the ground up.

The Heavy Duty Tandem Cruiser

As you can see by looking at the photo, this is a unique tandem. The step through frame design makes tandem riding a piece of cake. On most tandems, the fellow riding in front has a challenge in just getting mounted. You can't swing your leg over the seat like a regular bicycle as your foot gets tangled up in the rear handlebar. Not on this bike. Mounting and dismounting is a piece of cake. This is a very user friendly bike.

Specifications:

The Tandem Cruiser is a Worksman heavy duty cruiser.  It comes with the 26" X 2.125" clincher rims, and .120" spokes.  Available in single speed coaster brake, 3 speed coaster brake, and 7 speed coaster brake versions.  This bike comes equipped with front drum brake as a standard feature. Customizing Options:

Standard colors are: Gloss Black, Mercury Electric Blue, Racing Red. Optional colors are:Safety Orange, Safety Yellow, Putting Green, Polar White, Seafoam Teal, LA Lavender, Bubble Pink, Midnight Blue.

About The Upgrade Options

The Alloy Wheels With Stainless Steel Spokes Are A
good choice if corrosion is a problem in your area. This is an upgrade over the standard steel wheels and spokes.

White Wall Tires are the standard option, but you may elect to get Kevlar tires and puncture resistant tubes, if punctures are a problem where you ride. You can also choose the tire liners, which ad even more puncture protection.

Normally your crank bearings willl need to be re-packed every couple of years or so as dust and water may collect there. The sealed crank bearings will last for years as they are sealed against water and dust contamination, and run smoother as well.

You can add the small front basket or the large rear basket, or both if you wish. This will help you carry gear such as rain suits, tools, and even picnic lunches. If you only want one basket, the rear basket is a nice choice as it comes with a handy rack extra gear can be strapped to.

Remember this is a custom bike. Allow 5 weeks for construction, and one week for delivery.
