Our Mission Statement: Our Mission Is Fun

Island Sports Shop has been a local surf shop and rental business in the Destin area for years. As a result we have personally field tested most of the products we sell, and have benefitted from the direct feedback of our customers. We have received a lot of enjoyment from serving our customers and watching their children grow up as surfers or kayakers, and valued citizens of our local community.

 We aren't a huge corporation, our's is a family business, and right now Emma and I are the only full time employees. We closed our local store back in 2002, to spend more time on our web site, which is now our core business.

Our site is kinda low tech, we have put all of our effort into trying to make our site user friendly, and in providing all of the information we felt you would need to make buying decisions.  We have also added some extra features we hope you will enjoy. The large text is for those folks like myself who have to squint to read.

We still have the same dedication to customer service we had when we operated the physical store. Our business is one of the few internet businesses where you can actually contact a real person. All you have to do is give us a call, or drop us an e-mail and we will be glad to answer your question, or assist you with a problem.

If you don't have a local sporting goods dealer for the products we sell, consider us your local dealer.  We can provide technical advice and help, and we will work hard to please you.  Feel free to contact us for advice or for help with any problem.  We aren't discounters, we sell good products at a reasonable price, and provide great service.

If you are a local resident you can still purchase our products on line.  Our local customers are scattered from Pensacola to Panama City.  Just give us a call.
